Snakes, and lizards, and frogs, oh my. If you are a fan of all things amphibian, then you are in luck. Ontario is getting a brand-new zoo that features all things reptile, and it will be Canada’s largest collection.
Reptilia is a company that is dedicated to all things creepy and crawly, their current facility in Vaughan, Ontario is nothing compared to the zoo that is set to open in Whitby, Ontario. The new facility offers 31,000 square feet with over 250 animals that range from large snakes to hairy tarantulas.
Site manager, Lee Parker says, “Seeing the popularity of the Vaughan location, we wanted to give more to the different communities, so there’s a big expansion plan going on right now where we’re hoping to open facilities like this in areas where we see large populations of people, and especially children.” Because who doesn’t like creeping out children.
Reptilia’s facilities offer plenty of services for the community including educational events, children’s camps and parties, and professional training. The interactive zoo helps to educate people and even get people past their phobias.
So, if you want a creepy experience like none other than get ready to visit Ontario this June. For more information you can visit the Reptilia website, here.
