Check Out This 1-km Boardwalk in Alberta that Takes You Around the Top of a Mountain

The Rockies are full of breathtaking sites, and every Canadian should visit our mountains at least once in their lifetime.  The wilderness is filled with backcountry hiking trails and rock climbing, but if that sounds like a lot of hard work for you, there is still a place you can go to get the same views beautiful without all of the leg-work.

Banff, Alberta is an international tourist destination that features top-notch ski hills, glacier tours, and some of the best eateries in the country.  However, one of the little towns most significant attractions is Sulphur Mountain.

Sulphur Mountain is named after the ancient hot springs found near its base.  The naturally heated mineral-rich waters are available to take a dip in.  However, you should consider taking a trip to the top of the mountain first.

A ride on the Banff Gondola will take you 2,292 feet up to the mountain summit where there are restaurants and observation decks for you to relax and enjoy the view.  Or, you can take a hike to the top of the mountain where you will find a 1-km long interpretive boardwalk and Banff’s Cosmic Ray Station.  The best part of this journey is the views of the Canadian Rockies, Bow Valley and the town of Banff.
