Canada Listed as the Second Most Beautiful Country in the World

Our home and native land is one of the most beautiful places on the planet but, we knew that.  However, it has now been made official.  A travel publication that is based out of London, England, Rough Guides has placed Canada at the number two spot on their list for Most Beautiful Countries in the World.

The article had nothing but nice things to say “home of lumberjacks, beavers and maple syrup (if you believe everything you read). But there’s much more on offer in Canada, not least its mixture of raw beauty and majestic landscapes.”  While you may be hard-pressed to find lumberjacks and beavers just walking around, and we prefer to be known for our hockey enthusiasm, the rest of the quote is very accurate.  Not to gloat or anything.

Canada knocked out some historically recognised beautiful locations like Middle Earth New Zealand, Italy, and Indonesia.  So, what country do they think is more beautiful than Canada?   Scotland.  And, that is fine if rolling hills, ancient castles, and Harry Potter are your thing.  For us Canadians, we prefer a diverse landscape that offers something for everyone.  To each their own.
