Blue Mountain Resort Opens 1.1 km Skating Trail

Winter is not only about staying warm and watching Netflix; there are plenty of outdoor activities that are worth bundling up for.  Ontario residents were given one more reason this season.  Blue Mountain Ski Resort has constructed a 1.1 km skating trail at the top of the ski hills.  With beautiful views and the leisurely activity, this is one of the best things you can do this winter.

Guests are invited to enjoy the Woodview Mountaintop skating trail any day of the week.  The one-of-a-kind attraction offers scenic views of the surrounding Niagara Escarpment as you cruise through the beautiful mountaintop trail.  On Friday and Saturday evenings they light up the way with tiki torches for a genuinely unique skating adventure.

Expected to open up this week; the Woodview Mountaintop skating trail is available to all ages.  Prices are reasonable with an adult pass costing $16 and $13 for a youth pass of two hours.

The resort keeps the trail in top shape with snow-making equipment and their Zamboni.  Skate rentals are available, and helmets are recommended.  Hours are dependent upon weather and may change at any time.  Visit the website for more details at
