Edmonton Oilers Owner Puts $38 Million Penthouse in Vancouver on the Market

As if the housing market in Vancouver wasn’t bad enough, one of the cities premiere penthouses has just gone on the market as a reminder of what most of us will never have.  A penthouse is one thing but, this swank apartment sits on top of Vancouver’s premier hotels, and rests ocean side in downtown.

No big deal.

At least not for Edmonton Oilers owner Daryl Katz, who not only owns this penthouse but, is selling it for something much grander we’re sure.  It is not like Katz is hurting for the money.  The Oilers are worth an estimated $520 million, and Katz himself is valued at around $4 billion.  That would make him the countries 19th richest person, 693rd in the world.  Unfortunately for him, that is a pretty small market to sell your house too.

An estimated cost to rent a one-bedroom apartment in Vancouver is around $2,000 per month.  For $38 million more you could have this four-bedroom, four-bathroom.  With 6,652 square feet, that is more space than most Vancouver residents could dream of.

But, if that isn’t enough to make you go buy a lottery ticket right now than take a look at the pictures.
