Record Store Day is an international event for all music lovers that celebrates local independent record stores.  Whether you are an avid vinyl collector or just looking for some new music, the annual event has you covered.

The 11th annual Record Store Day is taking place on April 21, 2018, and includes parties, in-store performances and exclusive releases from your favourite music artists new and old.

This year there is a whole slew of limited edition records being released from artists like Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Wu-Tang Clan, Jimi Hendrix, and so many more.  You can find a 12-page long list of all the special releases, here.

Record Store Day is a celebration that is meant to celebrate local businesses and hopefully encourages you to support stores near you.  However, not every record store participates in the annual event, and participating stores may be limited in the promotional albums they carry.

This handy map can help you find a participating record store near you.  If you are looking for a specific album, it may be best to call ahead and see if the store will be receiving any copies.  For more information on the annual event, you can visit the official website, here.
