Tim Hortons has fallen fast for once being Canada’s favourite brand.  A new poll suggests that as much as a third of Canada is losing respect for the iconic coffee chain.

Angus Reid Institute has recently surveyed 1,501 Canadians asking their opinion of Tim Hortons.  35% of those polled agreed that their view of the coffee brand has worsened over the last few years.

Over half of Canadians have had no impact on their opinion of Tim Hortons.  However, when asked about Starbucks, 80% of Canadians haven’t changed their minds about the brand.

Despite the fall in opinion Tim Hortons is still widely considered a part of Canadian culture.  70% of those polled all agreed that Tim Hortons represented our country in at least a small way.

Even though respect for the company is falling only 9% of Canadians say that they no longer spend money at Tim Hortons.  It seems Canadians are still addicted to the coffee and have yet to find a replacement for their morning buzz.
