Be careful Canada, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has just issued a recall on Harvest Creek brand chicken nuggets because of a potential Salmonella contamination.

The recall applies to Harvest Creek uncooked breaded cutlets sold in stores across Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and possibly nationwide.


Consumers who have purchased this product are advised to dispose of it immediately or return it to the store where you purchased it.  You will not be able to tell if food has been contaminated by Salmonella by look or smell.  Symptoms of Salmonella can be severe, specifically for children, pregnant women, and people with weakened immune systems.

There are currently 30 cases of Salmonella Enteritidis illness across the country, four of which have been hospitalized.  Several of the sick individuals report eating Harvest Creek Chicken Nuggets before getting ill.  All cases have occurred between May 2017 and February 2018.


The Public Health Agency of Canada is conducting an investigation on the chicken product, but you should avoid this product for now.
