Canada’s favourite local amusement park is getting ready to open their gates for another season. Guests can be more excited than ever as this year the park is expanding and adding two new rides. There is something new being offered for guests of all ages from the little ones, to the thrill seekers.
For the 2018 season Canada’s Wonderland has expanded their play and splash areas. The children’s pool in Splash Island’s Splash Works will be double the size as guests are used to and includes an all-new interactive spray feature. This comes after last year’s addition of Muskoka Plunge, a 60-foot waterslide complex.
Also, new this season is an interactive family ride called Flying Canoes. Guests can hop in these two-rider canoes and control their own journey as it flies around.
The most prominent addition this year is the massive Lumberjack. Guests will be suspended from two giant swinging axe pendulums for a 360-degree thrill ride. Riders will have their feet dangling as they are swung through an inversion that reaches 75 feet into the air. The fast-paced thrill ride gives guests the sensation of an inverted coaster loop.
Canada’s Wonderland is set to open on April 29, for more information and to purchase tickets you can visit the official website, here.
